Little Big Town's newest single is called I'm With The Band. Their highest charting single so far is 2005's Bring it on Home, which peaked at #4 on the Billboard Hot Country charts. The band is currently touring with Sugarland. Enjoy both videos!
Faith Hill's latest single is called Red Umbrella. She premiered the song on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show!" Faith's last solo #1 hit was 2005's Mississippi Girl. Enjoy both videos!
Josh Turner's latest single is called Firecracker, and it's rocketing up the charts. It's currently sitting at #17 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. Josh hit #1 on the charts with his 2006 single Would You Go With Me. Enjoy both videos!
Rascal Flatts' single Take Me There is enjoying it's 3rd week at #1 on the Billboard Hot Country charts this week. One of my favorite songs and videos by the boys was 2005's Skin (Sarabeth) that tells the story of young girl with cancer. The video won the CMT Best Video by a Group award in 2005. Enjoy both videos!
Ok. Some, if not all of you are probably asking yourself right now... Who the heck is Brent Keith? Besides this song, his only other major claim to fame is he was a contestant on the USA Network television show, Nashville Star. He was on the 2nd season, and he finished #6. That's not a bad place to come from though considering Miranda Lambert, Buddy Jewell, and Chris Young are all Nashville Star alums. He looks a lot like ex-Lonestar frontman Richie McDonald to me. Enjoy!
Carrie Underwood's newest single is called So Small. It's currently sitting at #11 on the Billboard Hot Country charts. Inside Your Heaven was the first single Carrie ever released. It's actually the single she sang when she won the 2005 American Idol contest. The song went to #1 on both the Billboard Hot 100 and Pop 100 charts, but only made it to #59 on the Billboard Hot Country charts. Enjoy both videos!
Tim McGraw's newest single, If You're Reading This is already at #8 on the Billboard Hot Country charts, and it's destined to be a top five hit. I'm not sure if it'll make it to #1, but it's a great song. The video below is from his performance on the ACM Awards show.
Tim's first #1 single was 1993's Don't Take the Girl from his Not A Moment Too Soon album. Gotta love Tim's mullet hairdo in this video! Enjoy both videos!
Danielle Peck's latest single is called Bad For Me. Her biggest hit was 2006's Findin' A Good Man, which peaked at #16 on the Billboard Hot Country charts. I think we'll be seeing a lot of this sexy singer as she progresses and starts building a loyal following. Enjoy both videos!
Emerson Drive's first #1 hit single was Moments. It was named Single of the Year at the 2007 Canadian Country Music Awards, and this video won the award for CMT Video of the Year. I Should Be Sleeping was the first single released from their self-titled album, Emerson Drive, as well as their first song as the band Emerson Drive. Enjoy both videos!
Today is Trisha Yearwood's 43rd birthday. She was born in Monticello, Georgia back on September 19, 1964. As you all know, she is now married to the one and only Garth Brooks. In honor of her birthday and her marriage to Garth, here's the video for one of her biggest hits called How Do I Live, which went to #2 on the Billboard Hot Country charts back in 1997. Enjoy!
I really like Travis Tritt's new song You Never Take Me Dancing. It's only made it to #27 on the Billboard Hot Country charts so far, but I think it'll keep going a little higher.
My favorite song by Travis is his 2000 hit single It's A Great Day To Be Alive, which peaked at #2 on the Billboard Hot Country charts. Enjoy both videos!
This is a really great song. I'm just now getting familiar with Lady Antebellum, but I've been a fan of Jim Brickman's for a while. The performance part of this video was shot at Reba's studio, Starstruck. Enjoy!
Van Zant's latest single is called Goes Down Easy, and it's a great song. I hope it does well. Their best performing song so far was 2005's Help Somebody, which peaked at #8 on the Billboard Hot Country charts. Enjoy both videos!
Dolly Parton has a new single out called Better Get To Livin. It hasn't charted yet, but I'm sure it will. Her last single was a duet with Rhonda Vincent called Heartbreaker's Alibi. Her last single to chart was 2005's duet with Brad Paisley called When I Get Where I'm Going which went all the way to #1 on the Billboard Hot Country charts. Enjoy both videos!
Trisha Yearwood is back with a great new song. It's called Heaven, Heartache and The Power of Love. It's currently at #27 on the Billboard Hot Country charts as of today. Enjoy!
Here's a video that Miranda shot that gives you a behind-the-scenes look at the shooting of her music video for Famous In A Small Town. Click here to watch the finished product. Enjoy!
As I mentioned in my last post, Sugarland was incredible live the other night. When they sang Just Might Make Me Believe, all 17,000 people were singing along with her. It was really cool. Their newest single is called Stay, and the video is breathtaking. Jennifer does an awesome job of transitioning from one emotion to the other. It's destined to be a signature song for her. The video below for Just Might Make Me Believe is from the CMT Crossroads special featuring Sugarland and Bon Jovi. Enjoy both videos!
If you ever get the opportunity to go to a Kenny Chesney concert, do not miss it. Saturday night was Kenny's last night for his Summer Flip Flop tour, and it was fantastic. The night started out with Pat Green. Pat is one of my favorite singers, and he didn't disappoint. He sang Baby Doll, Feels Just Like It Should, Way Back Texas and his finale was hit major hit Wave on Wave. He had a great line at one point during his set. He turned sideways and rubbed his belly and said, "I may not be as fit as Kenny Chesney, but some of you are thinking this sh*t is hot!" It was hilarious.
Sugarland came on after Pat, and they were incredible. I enjoyed them as much as Kenny. Jennifer Nettles sounded and looked awesome. Since they're from Atlanta, it was somewhat emotional for them with friends and family in the crowd, and they did an awesome job.
Kenny came onstage about 9:30, and didn't stop until almost midnight. The video below is footage of the opening of the show. I apologize in advance because it's kind of bumpy, but it was impossible to hold the camera still due to the people around me going absolutely nuts. He opened with Beer in Mexico, and pretty much sang every hit he's ever had.
Some highlights:
Uncle Kracker came on stage about halfway through the show and they sang their monster hit When the Sun Goes Down. They also sang Uncle Kracker's hits Follow Me and Drift Away.
During Kenny's song, Young, the Georgia Tech marching band came marching across the stage and stayed on stage for the duration of the song. While they were marching, Jennifer Nettles from Sugarland came onstage as the baton twirler. The Georgia Tech Glee club even came out for a song or two with Kenny.
He also brought CNN Headline News anchor, Robin Meade, onto the stage for a couple of songs and at one point she played the cowbell.
One of the big highlights was Eagles' legend Joe Walsh came out towards the end of the show and belted out Life's Been Good as well as a couple of other tunes. The crowd really loved this.
At one point in the show, Kenny let his road crew come out and perform a couple of songs. They sangThank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin) and the AC/DC song It's a Long Way to the Top (If You Wanna Rock 'n' Roll)
The only negative (and I use that term lightly because the show was awesome) was because it was his last show of the tour, Kenny spent the last 30 minutes of the show walking around the stage hugging and shaking hands with all the crew, family and friends who were hanging out on-stage. The crowd kept waiting for him to sing one more song, but he didn't, so the ending was somewhat of a downer considering how great the entire show had been. But, all in all, it was one of the best concerts I have ever been to. If you get the chance to see him next year, do it.
Kenny Chesney's Beer In Mexico - Opening Song - Hi-Fi Buys Amphitheatre - Atlanta, GA
Kenny Chesney's concert tour ends here in Atlanta tomorrow night. I can't wait. It's my first time seeing him in person, and I'm excited. I'm also very excited to see Sugarland and Pat Green. In honor of their trip to Atlanta this weekend, here are three of their biggest hits. Enjoy!
LeAnn Rimes newest single is called Nothin' Better To Do. It's currently the #2 video on the CMT Top 20 Countdown as of their August 30, 2007 edition. She shows off both her body and her dance moves in this video. She's definitely grown up since her first single, Blue, hit the airwaves back in 1997 and won the Grammy Award for Best Country Song. Enjoy both videos!
Earlier this year, Hank remixed his 1982 single Country Boy Can Survive to commemorate it's original release 25 years ago. Here's the new video. Enjoy!
Following up yesterday's post by African American country music singer, Ricci Palmer, here's Cowboy Troy, another African American who has a new single out called Hick Chicks. He first burst onto the scene with his single I Play Chicken With The Train, which featured cameos by John Rich and Big Kenny from Big and Rich. Enjoy both videos!
Ricci Palmer is an amazing new African American country singer. Her single, Country Girl, is the first charting single by an African American on the country charts since Dona Mason’s "Green Eyes (Cryin' Those Blue Tears)" peaked at No. 62 nearly 20 years ago.
I'm featuring two videos here. The first is her official music video, and the second is a behind-the-scenes look at her Grand Ole Opry performance from this past summer. Enjoy both videos!
Phil Vassar's newest single is called This Is My Life, and it's currently sitting at #35 on the Billboard Hot Country charts. Phil's first #1 hit was Just Another Day In Paradise which hit #1 back in the year 2000. Enjoy both videos!
Garth Brooks just released his new single More Than A Memory this week, and I have a feeling it's going to debut within the top 10 on the Billboard Hot Country countdown when the new charts are released next week. If it does, it'll break Kenny Chesney's record that he just set this week when his new single, Don't Blink, debuted at #16 on the charts.
Country music is on a roll right now that's for sure. Since I believe Garth's new single will definitely hit #1, here are a couple of #1 hits from his past. The first video is for his last #1 hit single, To Make You Feel My Love, which hit #1 back in 1998, and the second video is for his very first #1 single, If Tomorrow Never Comes from way back in 1989. Enjoy both videos!
