Dierks released a greatest hits cd in May of this year called Greatest Hits/Every Mile A Memory 2003 - 2008. It included all ten singles from his first three albums as well as two new songs. Sweet and Wild was one of the new songs. It's a duet with Sarah Buxton. It made it to #51 on the Billboard Hot Country charts without being released as an official single. Enjoy!

For Bob That Head, Rascal Flatts' did a pretty cool thing. They gave out cameras to fan-goers and asked them to film themselves while at their concerts. And, they used all of the footage to make this video. It was a great idea for a video, and the video has been very popular on CMT and GAC. Unfortunately, as a single, the song only made it to #15 on the Billboard Hot Country charts. Their only other single to chart lower on the charts was 2006's Life Is A Highway, which peaked at #18. It's definitely apparent that the charts like Flatts' slower songs rather than their upbeat rockin' songs. Enjoy!

The business of country music is a fickle business. Just three short years ago, Jo Dee hit #1 on the Billboard Hot Country charts with My Give A Damn's Busted, which was the first single released from her Delicious Surprise album. Now, her latest album, Unmistakable has been shelved for the second time and may not be released at all. From what I hear, the release of the album was completely dependent on the success of her single, I'm Done, which only managed to make it to #34 on the Hot Country charts. Considering Jo Dee has had six #1 singles in her career, it's a shame her record company is treating her this way. But, as this song states, Jo Dee probably doesn't give a damn anyway. Enjoy!

Randy Houser is a country newcomer when it comes to performing. His first album, Anything Goes, is set for release in November. The first single from the album is also called Anything Goes, and it's currently sitting at #29 on the Billboard Hot Country charts. Before Houser was a performer, he wrote songs for Trace Adkins including Trace's big hit Honky Tonk Badonkadonk. Enjoy!

Dolly's latest single is called Shinola. It's from her latest album Backwoods Barbie. It's the third single from that album. While Dolly is an icon and still sells out shows every where she plays, she hasn't had a solo top 40 hit since 1991's Eagle When She Flies, which peaked at #33 on the Hot Country charts. I'm not sure if this one's going to make it into the top 40 though.
I thought Better Get to Livin', her first single from Backwoods Barbie, was a good song and would have charted much higher than it did. It only managed to make it to #48 on the charts. Unfortunately for Dolly, today's country radio doesn't have much room for her music. It's much more focused on today's younger artists like Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift. Enjoy!
