Little Texas - What Might Have Been

Little Texas had a string of hits back in the early and mid-90's. What Might Have Been was their first #1 single when it hit #1 on the U.S. Radio and Records Singles chart back in 1993. It also peaked at #2 on the Billboard Hot Country charts. This is a good video about a grandfather's bittersweet memories of his first love. Enjoy!

Clint Black - The Strong One

Clint Black is back on the scene with a good one. His latest single is called The Strong One, and it's currently sitting at #37 on the Billboard Hot Country charts. I'm not sure how high it'll go, but it's a good song nonetheless. It's been almost ten years since Clint had a top ten solo hit when his single, The Shoes You're Wearing, went to #1 back in 1998. Enjoy!

Jamey Johnson - The Dollar

As a country singer, Jamey Johnson is a one-hit wonder for his 2005 song The Dollar, which is a moving song about a son who asks his mom how much time a dollar will buy with his dad. It peaked at #14 on the Billboard Hot Country charts, and it's his only charting single to date.

However, Jamey has co-written a number of hit singles including George Strait's Give It Away and Trace Adkins' Honky Tonk Badonkadonk. Not bad for a country boy from Montgomery, Alabama. Enjoy!

Kellie Pickler - Before She Was An American Idol & Country Music Star

Here's Kellie back in her hometown before she was a household name singing the National Anthem before a sporting event. The man introducing her messes up on her last name, but Kellie just giggles and politely tells him, and he corrects himself. It's pretty funny, but even more so, it shows how genuine Kellie really is. Enjoy!

Sarah Johns is a new country singer who released her debut album last year called Big Love in a Small Town. Her first single from the album was this song, The One in the Middle. It peaked at #39 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts, which isn't bad for a debut single.

You gotta love a girl who'll give a guy the one in the middle... Enjoy!

Suzy Boggus - Electronic Press Kit For Her New Album Sweet Danger

Back in the late 80's and early 90's, Suzy Bogguss was one of the hottest female country artists in the world. She had a string of big hits like Outbound Plane, Drive South and Letting Go. Her last country album was a self-titled album released in 1999. Her latest album released in September of 2007 is called Sweet Danger, and Suzy shot this video as an electronic press kit for the album. It's a creative idea. Enjoy!

Bret Michaels with Jessica Andrews - All I Ever Needed

I love finding songs that many of you may not have heard before. This song might be one of them. On January 1, 2005, Bret Michaels from the rock band Poison, released a solo country rock album called Freedom of Sound. It's actually a pretty good album. (I'm a little biased because in addition to country music, I'm a huge 80's rock fan as well)

One of the songs from the album was a duet with Jessica Andrews called All I Ever Needed. It didn't quite make it into the Billboard Hot Country Top 40 as it peaked at #45, but nonetheless, that's pretty good for a glam rock icon on the country charts. Enjoy!

Lost was the first single Faith Hill released from her latest album called The Hits. So far, it's only made it to #32 on the Billboard Hot Country charts, but it's still climbing the Billboard Adult Contemporary charts, and it's sitting at #11 on that chart right now. She doesn't have an official video for the song, but here she is performing it live on the ACM awards last year. Enjoy!

I'm a huge fan of Steve Earle's. I played his 1986 Guitar Town cassette so much that it literally shredded to pieces. Guitar Town is Steve's highest charting single to date. It peaked at #7 on the Billboard Hot Country charts. Steve's still traveling around the country playing live. Enjoy!

2007 was a great year for Miranda Lambert as her single Famous in a Small Town made it into the top 20 on the Billboard Hot Country charts peaking at #14. My favorite song by her is her first top 20 hit of her career from 2005 called Kerosene, which peaked at #15 on the charts. Enjoy!

Ashton Shepherd - Takin' Off This Pain

Newcomer Ashton Shepherd has a hit on her hands. It's called Takin' Off This Pain, and it's currently sitting at #37 on the Billboard Hot Country charts. She's from a small town in Alabama called Coffeeville. This is her debut single from her first album titled Sounds So Good. She released this song as a single in September, 2007, which is the same month she made her debut at the Grand Ole' Opry. She reminds me of a brunette version of Miranda Lambert. What do you think? Randy Travis - Forever And Ever Amen - #1 Song Of The Year 20 Years Ago

Twenty years ago, Randy Travis' Forever and Ever Amen was the #1 song of the year for 1987, and it won the Academy of Country Music's award for Song of the Year. At the time, it was his third #1 single on the Billboard Hot Country charts, and it was the start of seven #1 singles in a row. He has 16 #1 singles to date, with his last being his 2002 hit single, Three Wooden Crosses. Enjoy!

Shania Twain - I Ain't No Quitter

Shania Twain's last new studio album was Up! from 2002. In 2004, she released a Greatest Hits album, which contained this new song called I Ain't No Quitter. It didn't quite make it into the top 40 on the Billboard Hot Country charts. It peaked at #45 on that chart and peaked at #22 on the Canadian charts.

She did make a typical sexy Shania video for the song though. Here it is. She is also supposed to be releasing a new album sometime this year. Here's hoping she does. Enjoy!

Alan Jackson's latest single Small Town Southern Man has entered the Billboard Hot Country top 20, and I think it's definitely got top five potential. This video is all music and no pictures or video because I haven't been able to find the video online yet. As soon as I do, I'll post it. For now, sit back, relax and enjoy the song. It's a good one.
