Live Concert Footage of Sugarland Performing Take Me As I Am

Take Me As I Am (iTunes MP3) is a track off Sugarland's third album Love On The Inside. This song has more of a country rock feel to it, and it's by far my favorite song on the album. What's remarkable about Jennifer is her voice sounds the same, if not better live than on CD. She used to play live at Eddie's Attic here in Decatur, GA, and I can tell you, she has one of the most powerful voices live you'll ever hear. I'm not sure if they'll release this song as a single, but I hope so. It's a great song. Enjoy!

Gloriana's Video For Their Debut Single Wild at Heart

You may not know who Gloriana are now, but after they finish touring with Taylor Swift this spring, I have a feeling a lot of people are going to know who they are then. Who are they? Gloriana is brothers Tom and Mike Gossin and Rachel Reinart (brunette) and Cheyenne Kimball (blond). Kimball's name might sound familiar to you if you're a reality TV scholar and/or an MTV fan. She was the winner of the 2002 America's Most Talented Kid competition, and she released a solo pop album called The Day Has Come back in 2006. She also had a reality series on MTV called Cheyenne, which documented her rise to fame on realty TV.

She's now moved on to country with her band mates. Since the boundary between mainstream country music and pop music is pretty blurred these days, I think they'll do just fine. Currently, Wild at Heart (iTunes MP3), Gloriana's first country single is sitting at #51 on the Billboard Hot Country charts. Enjoy!

Watch Miley Cyrus' New Video For Her Single The Climb

It looks like Miley's duet with papa Billy Ray wasn't her last venture into the country music arena. Her latest single is called The Climb from the upcoming Hannah Montana: The Movie soundtrack, and it's got a decidedly country sound to it. And, it's featured on the homepage of CMT.com today, so you can bet country radio is probably going to push the single pretty hard. Especially considering the success that a number of cross-over artists had last year (Darius Rucker, Jessica Simpson, Jewel and Robert Plant to name a few). This song definitely has a much more grown-up feel to it. It might do pretty well on the charts. We'll have to see. For now, enjoy the video.

Amazingly, the only single that didn't reach number one from his latest album and his last album Just Who I Am: Poets and Pirates, was his duet with George Strait, Shiftwork (iTunes MP3). It peaked at number two.

Sugarland Performing Stay Live At the 51st Grammy Awards

Sugarland won Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group and Jennifer Nettles won Best Country Song for Stay at the 51st Grammy Awards on Sunday night. Here's their live performance of Stay from the Grammy Awards. The video is actually a two-part video with Sugarland's performance followed immediately by Adele's performance of Chasing Pavements. It was a nice contrast of sounds. Jennifer's powerful Southern voice with Adele's British accent. Carrie Underwood, Brad Paisley, Sugarland And George Strait Among The Big Winners At the 51st Grammy Awards

The Grammy Awards have always been skewed much more towards Pop and R&B music than Country music, but nonetheless, country music was well represented. In addition to the winners, Taylor Swift performed her song Fifteen with help from Miley Cyrus.

Here's the list of winners from the Country and Bluegrass categories. Bluegrass/Country sweetheart Alison Krauss was the biggest winner of the night as she and Robert Plant picked up five Grammy Awards.
