Jimmy Wayne Excited To See Keith Urban Play At The Ryman (circa 2004)

I love videos like this. It was shot back in 2004 at the Ryman by David Mills of FrontRowNews.com back when Jimmy was backstage about to watch Keith Urban play. It's awesome to see videos of country stars when they're first getting started. Jimmy was just a little bit excited, don't you think? Enjoy!

Jimmy Wayne's Second Lesson In Country Slang - Yontu...

Yesterday, Jimmy taught you what 'Britches' meant, and today you'll learn about the world 'Yontu.' So, yontu watch it now? Here y'are:

P.S. In case you missed lesson one, I've featured it again below lesson two. Funny thing about Britches. As a kid, I heard this statement from my granddad quite a lot: "Don't make me have to skin your britches!" For those not from the south, that means, "Don't make me have to give you a spanking!" Enjoy!

Lesson Two: Yontu

Lesson One: Britches

Jimmy Wayne - Country Slang - Lesson One 'Britches'

Ever since last night's article about the upcoming Jimmy Wayne Mug auction on eBay, I've received numerous emails and tweets from readers who admire what Jimmy is doing. And, some of the people who emailed were not even familiar with Jimmy and his cause. Obviously, what Jimmy is doing with his Meet Me Halfway campaign is fantastic, but there's also another side of Jimmy that's equally great... his sense of humor. Here's lesson one of Jimmy teaching you about country slang, and specifically, the word 'Britches.' Enjoy!

This is a great video from a recent Jimmy Wayne concert in which Jimmy explains why he's personally doing 'Meet Me Halfway'. If you'd like to help Jimmy and homeless teens everywhere, visit MeetMeHalfway.JimmyWayne.com. Enjoy!

Jimmy Wayne And John Oates Performing Sara Smile (Live)

Jimmy Wayne's star has been on the rise for a while now. Since you're a country music fan, I'm sure you know about his Meet Me Halfway walk from Nashville to Phoenix to raise money for homeless kids and teenagers.  Jimmy's a class act, and I'm proud of what he's doing.  It's rare this day and age for any public figure to actually practice what they preach.

Speaking of Jimmy, check out this video of Jimmy and John Oates performing Sara Smile back in October of last year.  Jimmy was the opening act for Dierks Bentley and Brad Paisley on Brad's American Saturday Night tour.  This footage is from Baltimore, Maryland on October 22, 2009.  Enjoy!

Today Is An Important Anniversary For Jimmy Wayne - His First Single 'Stay Gone' Was Released To Radio in 2003

On this day back in 2003, DreamWorks released Jimmy Wayne's debut single Stay Gone to radio. It went all the way to number three on the Billboard Hot Country charts, making it his second highest charting single to date behind his number one hit from 2008 Do You Believe Me Now. Jimmy co-wrote the song with Billy Kirsch. If you don't own his self-titled debut album, I'd highly recommend you get it. It's a good one. Enjoy!

Jimmy Wayne's New Video - Sara Smile

Look at Jimmy Wayne... He's partnered up with 80's pop icons Daryl Hall and John Oates to cover their very first top ten hit, Sara Smile. Hall and Oates provide background vocals, and Jimmy does a great job on the lead vocals. This song is actually the lead single to Jimmy's album of the same name due out on November 24, 2009. The single is already at #32 on the Billboard Hot Country charts, making it Hall & Oates' first single to chart on the country charts. This one definitely has top ten written all over it. Enjoy!
