Join Me In Wishing Kristian Bush Of Sugarland A Happy 40th Birthday - Watch Some Vintage Kristian Bush 'Billy Pilgrim' Footage

Today is Sugarland's Kristian Bush's birthday. Kristian was born in Knoxville, Tennessee on March 14, 1970. Happy 40th Kristian! In honor of Kristian's birthday, here's a video many of you may have never seen. Before Kristian and Jennifer Nettles joined up, Kristian was part of another duo from 1990 to 2001 called Billy Pilgrim. Billy Pilgrim was Kristian and Andrew Hyra (Meg Ryan's brother). This was one of my favorite songs from Billy Pilgrim. It's 1995's Sweet Louisiana Sound. Enjoy!

P.S. I know you're wondering, and the answer is yes, Kristian is the guitar player in the video with the long hair. If you like this song, check out Amazon's Billy Pilgrim store to download some of their MP3's.

Very Rare Recording Of Sugarland's Turning Blue From Their First Performance At Eddie's Attic In Decatur, Georgia

Before Sugarland made it big, they played small clubs just like every other band out there trying to make it. One of those clubs was Eddie's Attic in Decatur, GA. All three, Jennifer, Kristian and Kristen, had played at Eddie's Attic many times individually, but this recording is reportedly from the very first time they played the club as 'Sugarland'. This song is called Turning Blue, and it's a fantastic song. If anyone knows more about this performance, please comment below. I'd love to hear from you. Also, if you're ever in the Atlanta area, I highly recommend you visit Eddie's Attic. It's one of the best local clubs you'll ever visit. Enjoy!

Sugarland - Down In Mississippi (Up To No Good) - Official Music Video

I saw this video today and realized I've never featured it on the site. Down in Mississippi (Up To No Good) is one of my favorite Sugarland tunes, so there's no time like the present to feature it. It was the last single released from their debut album Twice The Speed of Life, and surprisingly, only made it to #17 on the Billboard Hot Country charts. Oh well, it wouldn't have mattered if it didn't even chart, it's still a great song to me. Enjoy this look back at an early Sugarland tune.

Sugarland's Keep You Official Music Video

Shaun Silva is a great music video director. In my opinion, if you're going to do a music video, then please "Do" a music video. Too often, bands just throw up a video for the heck of it, and it shows. However, when a video is done right, it's a breath of fresh air. Silva's new video for Sugarland's Keep You is a good one. I think you'll like this one. Keep You is set to be released as the fifth single from Sugarland's Love On The Inside album. Enjoy!

Here's just a sampling of some of the other videos that Silva has directed:

George Strait's Living For The Night
Kenny Chesney's Out Last Night and Got A Little Crazy
Luke Bryan's Do I and All My Friends Say
Sugarland's Stay, Want To and Love
Danielle Peck's Findin' A Good Man

Keith Urban and Sugarland Perform The Eagles Seven Bridges Road Live in Concert

The Eagles' Seven Bridges Road is one of my favorite Eagles songs. Keith, Jen and Kristian do a pretty good job during one of Keith's recent concerts. What do you think?

P.S. Below their video is a video of The Eagles performing the song live during a concert in Seattle back in 1976. If you're an Eagles fan, this clip will give you goosebumps. Enjoy!

Sugarland Performing Nightswimming and Joey Live

As part of Sugarland's 2009 live compilation Live on the Inside, they did a live cover of R.E.M.'s song Nightswimming and then they segment right into their new single Joey. In just a few short years, Sugarland has definitely become one of the top country acts to see live, and this video showcases why. They're fantastic in concert. Enjoy!

Sugarland Performing Joey in Concert in HD

This is one of the best recordings I've ever found of Sugarland playing live. It's an HD recording of them performing their new single Joey. As of this morning, it's sitting at #27 on the Billboard Hot Country charts, but I'm sure this one's going all the way to the top just like their last three singles. Enjoy this fantastic video and be sure to click the HD icon on the bottom right of the video to enjoy it in Hi-Def.

Inside Scoop On Tomorrow's Oprah Country Music Special

Kristian Bush of Sugarland was on with Cadillac Jack from KICKS 101.5 here in Atlanta on Friday morning. It was an interesting interview. Sugarland kicked off their North American tour Friday night here in Atlanta, and from what I hear, it was a fantastic show.

During the interview, Kristian talked about the upcoming country music special on Oprah set to air tomorrow. Here are a few things I learned about Oprah from the interview:

The Oprah you see on camera is the same Oprah off camera. He said she was as genuine and inviting off camera as she is on.

There is a dress code for the audience. You must dress in pastel colors. No dark or dull colors. He also thought that the audience went through makeup, but he wasn't positive.

Kenny Chesney wasn't allowed to wear his tank top shirt. No sleeveless shirts allowed. Anyhow, it should be a great show. If you didn't already know, it will feature Sugarland, Kenny Chesney, Carrie Underwood and Darius Rucker. That's a pretty good lineup if you ask me...
