Before Sugarland made it big, they played small clubs just like every other band out there trying to make it. One of those clubs was Eddie's Attic in Decatur, GA. All three, Jennifer, Kristian and Kristen, had played at Eddie's Attic many times individually, but this recording is reportedly from the very first time they played the club as 'Sugarland'. This song is called Turning Blue, and it's a fantastic song. If anyone knows more about this performance, please comment below. I'd love to hear from you. Also, if you're ever in the Atlanta area, I highly recommend you visit Eddie's Attic. It's one of the best local clubs you'll ever visit. Enjoy!
Coming Home is a track from Sugarland's new holiday album Gold and Green, and this live performance with Jen playing the piano is unbelievable. If this performance doesn't knock your socks off, nothing will. Enjoy!
This eight minute video gives you an awesome look at what a Sugarland concert is like these days. I love the beginning with Jen singing Pearl Jam's Better Man. If you've not seen them live yet, please do. They put on a fantastic live show. Enjoy!
CMT featured this video on their homepage today. It's a fantastic live performance of Already Gone from Sugarland. Since Jennifer's been recuperating her voice lately, I thought this would be a great video to showcase. Also, here's an article from CMT.com in which Jennifer explains why she had to cancel some shows. Enjoy!
This is one of the best recordings I've ever found of Sugarland playing live. It's an HD recording of them performing their new single Joey. As of this morning, it's sitting at #27 on the Billboard Hot Country charts, but I'm sure this one's going all the way to the top just like their last three singles. Enjoy this fantastic video and be sure to click the HD icon on the bottom right of the video to enjoy it in Hi-Def.
Sugarland performed George Strait's Adalida at the recent 2009 ACM All-Star concert honoring George Strait. This video includes their performance as well as the opening segment of the concert. Enjoy!
Sugarland's It Happens remains atop the Billboard Hot Country charts for the second week in a row. This is Sugarland's third number one country single in a row, and their fifth Billboard Hot Country number one single of their career. Here is the complete Top 10 for the week:
Take Me As I Am (iTunes MP3) is a track off Sugarland's third album Love On The Inside. This song has more of a country rock feel to it, and it's by far my favorite song on the album. What's remarkable about Jennifer is her voice sounds the same, if not better live than on CD. She used to play live at Eddie's Attic here in Decatur, GA, and I can tell you, she has one of the most powerful voices live you'll ever hear. I'm not sure if they'll release this song as a single, but I hope so. It's a great song. Enjoy!
