Today I thought I'd take a look back at one of the great country bands of the 80's and early 90's, Sawyer Brown. One of their biggest hits was 1991's The Walk (iTunes MP3), which peaked at #2 on the Billboard Hot Country charts. They're still touring and playing music around the country. Here's a look at them playing an outdoor festival performing The Walk. Enjoy!
Take Me As I Am (iTunes MP3) is a track off Sugarland's third album Love On The Inside. This song has more of a country rock feel to it, and it's by far my favorite song on the album. What's remarkable about Jennifer is her voice sounds the same, if not better live than on CD. She used to play live at Eddie's Attic here in Decatur, GA, and I can tell you, she has one of the most powerful voices live you'll ever hear. I'm not sure if they'll release this song as a single, but I hope so. It's a great song. Enjoy!
Where I'm From is the name of Jason Michael Carroll's first single from his upcoming and untitled 2009 album. This is a really good song and it's already at #36 on the Billboard Hot Country charts. Here's Jason performing the song live in Ocala, FL. Enjoy!
Are you almost finished with your Christmas shopping? You'd better hurry. You've only got seven more days until the big day. To help get you in the spirit, here's Darius Rucker singing Winter Wonderland. If you'd like to watch more country Christmas videos, visit our other site, The Best Country Christmas Songs of All-Time. Enjoy!
Like yesterday's video from Jewel & Jason Michael Carroll, here's another great small venue video from Kenny Chesney and Mac McAnally. They're performing their hit single Down the Road. This is Kenny's second single from his Lucky Old Sun album, and it's currently at #14 on the Billboard Hot Country charts. Enjoy!
Sugarland performed Love at this year's CMA Awards, and when I first started watching this video, I thought it was from the show until I went back and watched the CMA performance and remembered that Jennifer was wearing different clothes. This video is footage from one of their concerts, and I like this performance much better than their CMA one. Enjoy!
I've mentioned before that Cross Canadian Ragweed is one of my favorite bands. If you ever get a chance to see them live, take advantage of it. They put on a fantastic live show. Late Last Night was a track off their 2005 Garage album. It didn't chart on the country charts, but it's a fan favorite at concerts. Enjoy!
Sara Evans has had a very interesting past couple of years. She seems to be as happy as ever. For those of you who didn't know, she married former University of Alabama quarterback Jay Barker back on June 14, 2008. This video was shot from a concert in Birmingham, Alabama back in May. I went to school with Jay, and I can tell you, he's a great guy, and now that he's married to Sara, he's also a very lucky guy. At the end of this video, they introduce their seven children to the crowd. Enjoy!
At the 2008 CMA Awards, Taylor Swift performed her #1 country single Love Story. She did a great job, even changing clothes in the middle of the song. This is raw footage shot by someone in the crowd. They actually did a great job of holding the camera very still, and the audio is great. As soon as I find the actual footage of her performance, I'll post it as well. Enjoy!
P.S. Don't forget to vote for your favorite performance from the show. You can vote on the poll at the top left of the site. The poll is open until 7pm on Wednesday, November 19, 2008.
It's been a long time since Wynonna had a top ten hit on the country charts (To Be Loved By You hit #1 back in 1996). But, that hasn't stopped her from touring and performing sold out shows year after year. Here she is performing Tina Turner's hit song, (Simply) The Best, live in concert. Enjoy!
Got A Little Crazy is a track off Kenny Chesney's Just Who I Am: Poets & Pirates album. It was never released as an official single, but the video is making the rounds on CMT right now. It's a great song, and so far, it has peaked at #53 on the Billboard Hot Country charts with very limited radio airplay. Enjoy!
For Bob That Head, Rascal Flatts' did a pretty cool thing. They gave out cameras to fan-goers and asked them to film themselves while at their concerts. And, they used all of the footage to make this video. It was a great idea for a video, and the video has been very popular on CMT and GAC. Unfortunately, as a single, the song only made it to #15 on the Billboard Hot Country charts. Their only other single to chart lower on the charts was 2006's Life Is A Highway, which peaked at #18. It's definitely apparent that the charts like Flatts' slower songs rather than their upbeat rockin' songs. Enjoy!
The Zac Brown Band are quickly making a name for themselves. Their first single, Chicken Fried, just moved up to #7 on the Billboard Hot Country charts this week. They're a fantastic band to see live. Here's just a taste of what their concerts are like. It's their version of Charlie Daniels' The Devil Went Down To Georgia. Enjoy!
In 1988, Steve Earle released his album Copperhead Road, and the first single of the same name actually appealed more to rock fans than country fans. It peaked at #10 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock charts, making it his highest charting single to date on the rock charts. It's sense become a fan favorite though among Earle's country and rock fans alike. Enjoy!
Chicken Fried is the Zac Brown Band's first single to chart on the Billboard Hot Country charts. It's sitting at #24 on the charts this week. Here they are performing the song live on stage during a concert at Stone Mountain Park in Georgia. You'll notice a guy doing a lot of filming during this video because they were shooting the official video for the song during this performance. Enjoy!
I Would is Phil Vassar's latest single from his Prayer of a Common Man album. It's currently sitting at #50 on the Billboard Hot Country charts. Here's Phil singing the song live at one of his fan club events. Enjoy!
A few weeks ago, I featured raw video of Keith Urban performing his newest single, You Look Good in My Shirt live in Atlanta. Here's Keith's video for the song, and it looks like the video was shot at the same concert as the raw video from a few weeks ago considering he's wearing the exact same clothes and the scene when he's in the crowd looks like it's the same crowd. By the way, the song just moved up to #6 this week on the Billboard Hot Country charts. Enjoy!
Keith's latest single, You Look Good In My Shirt, is climbing up the charts. It's already sitting at #12 on the Billboard Hot Country charts. I have a feeling this one is going to go all the way to the top. Here he is performing the song live in concert in Atlanta earlier this year. Enjoy!
This video is a little rough, but the audio is good, and it gives you a great idea of what being at a Rascal Flatts concert is all about. Here they are bringing both Jason Aldean and Blake Shelton out to help them sing AC/DC's classic hit, You Shook Me All Night Long. Enjoy!
