Saturday Night Was A Good One For Blake Shelton And Miranda Lambert - Both Win Early ACM Awards

The ACM Awards air tonight on CBS, but last night, two awards were given out. Miranda Lambert won Video of the Year for her number one single White Liar, and Blake Shelton and Trace Adkins won Event of the Year for their number one hit single Hillbilly Bone. Incidentally, it was Miranda who persuaded Blake to pitch the idea of Hillbilly Bone to Trace, so it's sort of like her award as well. :)

Blake Shelton's collaboration with Trace Adkins' moved up from three to one this week on the Billboard Hot Country charts. This is Blake's sixth number one single on the Hot Country charts, and Trace's fourth. Rounding out the top five are:

New Music Released Yesterday From Luke Bryan, Danny Gokey, Easton Corbin And Blake Shelton

Yesterday was a big day for new country music releases. Luke Bryan, Danny Gokey, Easton Corbin and Blake Shelton all released new music yesterday.

Luke released an iTunes exclusive EP called Spring Break 2 ...Hangover Edition that includes three new songs: Wild Weekend, Cold Beer Drinker and I'm Hungover. You can pick up a copy at iTunes.com.

Easton Corbin released his self-titled debut album that includes his top ten hit I'm A Little More Country Than That (Watch the video). It's available on iTunes or Amazon.com.

American Idol's Danny Gokey released his debut album My Best Days, which includes his new hit single My Best Days Are Ahead Of Me (Watch the video). It's available on iTunes or Amazon.com.

Finally, the funniest man on Twitter, Blake Shelton, released Hillbilly Bone, which is a six-song EP. Shelton plans on releasing three extended play EP's a year right now in an effort to give his fans more music every year at a bargain price. It's a risky but cool idea. The title track, Hillbilly Bone, is already a top five hit. It's a duet with Trace Adkins, who is also featured in the video. You can pick up a copy of Hillbilly Bone on iTunes or Amazon.com.

Back in 2004, Blake Shelton got a great Christmas present. His single Some Beach moved up to number one on the Billboard Hot Country charts. It spent four weeks at number one, and it was his third number one single overall. I'd like to be on 'Some Beach' right now.
