Flashback To One Year Ago - Jamey Johnson and Lee Ann Womack Performing An Incedible Cover Of George Strait's Give It Away

Earlier this week, we featured a lot of videos from this year's ACM Presents Brooks and Dunn: The Last Rodeo Tribute Concert. On this day last year, country music's finest were honoring George Strait at the George Strait: Artist Of The Decade concert. Our favorite performance of the night came from Jamey and Lee Ann covering George's 2006 number one single Give It Away, which was actually co-written by Jamey and Bill Anderson. Enjoy!

George Strait, Reba McEntire and Lee Ann Womack Keep It Country In Memphis

George Strait performs at the 43rd Annual CMA Awards in Nashville
If you're a fan of traditional country music, then the George Strait, Reba McEntire and Lee Ann Womack concert in Memphis on Thursday night was the place to be. According to CMT.com, "Approaching the four-hour mark at George Strait's Thursday night concert (March 4) at Memphis' FedEx Forum, I kept thinking, "This is where 'The Cowboy Rides Away' will bring down the house and bring up the lights."

After all, he'd already played "Amarillo by Morning" and about 20 other tunes. But Strait was in no hurry, going on to deliver "I Saw God Today," "Give It Away," "River of Love," "Living for the Night" (apparently true), "Troubadour" and his first-ever hit, "Unwound." Then he came back for a three-song encore.

Thus, fans of traditional country music got their fix when he wrapped after an hour and 45 minutes, while Reba McEntire had already offered about 80 minutes of hits and Lee Ann Womack graced the stage with a brief but engaging 30-minute set. (Strait called them "two of the greatest country performers ever.") It was just before 11:30 p.m. when the balconies emptied out, yet Strait stayed onstage to personally greet the folks who had floor seats. At that late hour, if you headed west on I-40 right after the show, you really could have made Amarillo by morning." ...continue reading on CMT.com.

It sounds like it was an awesome concert. I'd love to hear from anyone who went to the concert. If you did, let us know what you thought. And, if you have any photos from the show, please post them on our Facebook fan page. If you do, you'll be in the running for our latest autographed album giveaway from Justin Moore. Thanks!

Audio and Lyrics For Lee Ann Womack's There Is A God - Great Song!

Lee Ann's latest single is called There Is A God. It's currently at #34 on the Billboard Hot Country charts. She hasn't released an official music video for the song yet, but I wanted to feature the song and it's lyrics anyway. I love this song and think you will as well. Enjoy!

Try and put your arms around
the 100 year old tree
Climb up on a horse
and let it run full speed
Take a look down at the world from 30,000 feet
on your next flight

Watch a flock of birds
against the morning sun
Close your eyes and listen
to the river run
Catch a firefly in your hand
or a raindrop on your tongue
That's right

Chorus:
There is a God
There is a God
There is a God
How much proof do you need?

Plant a seed and see
what comes out of the ground
Find the heartbeat on your baby's ultrasound
In a few years hear it laughing,
and don't it sound like a song?

Stop and think about
what you don't understand
Things like life and love
and how the world began
Hear the doctor say he can't explain it,
but the cancer is gone

Chorus:
There is a God
There is a God
There is a God
How much proof do you need?

Bridge:
Science says it's all just circumstance
Like this whole worlds just an accident
But if you want to shoot that theory down,
Look around

Just look around

There is a God
There is a God
There is a God,
How much proof do you need?

Oh there is a God
There is a God
There is a God
How much proof do you need?

Lee Ann Womack's Video For Her Bluesy Single Solitary Thinkin'

Solitary Thinkin' is the second single from Lee Ann Womack's latest album Call Me Crazy. It's currently sitting at #39 on the Billboard Hot Country charts. The first single from the album, Last Call, did pretty well on the charts. It peaked at #14 on the charts, which was her highest charting single since 2004's I May Hate Myself in the Morning peaked at #10. I like Lee Ann, so I hope this one does well on the charts, but I'm not sure if it'll make it into the top ten. I've been wrong before though, so you never know. Enjoy!

I Hope You Dance - Song of Choice For American Idol 8 Contestants Tonight

Did you watch American Idol tonight? If you did, you probably noticed that a number of contestants chose to sing Lee Ann Womack's I Hope You Dance. While they all did a decent job, they all paled in comparison to the real thing. By the way, are you an Anoop Dog Fan?

Lee Ann Womack Surprised Jamey Johnson By Telling Him He Had 3 Grammy Nominations

It seems that Jamey Johnson didn't even know that he'd been nominated for three Grammy awards until he hear Lee Ann Womack announce it while introducing Jamey at a recent concert. I'm happy for Jamey. I just hope he can follow up In Color with a string of hits. Enjoy!

Cross Canadian Ragweed w/Lee Ann Womack - Sick and Tired

I'm quickly becoming a big fan of Cross Canadian Ragweed. Their song, I Believe in You, is one of my favorite songs. Back in 2004, they teamed up with the lovely Lee Ann Womack for the song Sick and Tired. It didn't quite make it into the top 40 on the country charts, but it's a good song nonetheless. Enjoy!

Lee Ann Womack - Finding My Way Back Home

Lee Ann has a new album, Finding My Way Back Home, that was originally supposed to have been released in 2006, but it has been postponed because Lee Ann wanted to include more tracks on the album. The first single from the album is called Finding My Way Back Home, and it only peaked at #37 on the Billboard Hot Country charts back in 2006. That's very surprising to me because this is a good song and definitely should have charted much higher. Enjoy!
