New Music - Burns And Poe - Don't Get No Better Than That

If 'Burns' looks familiar, that's because he's Keith Burns, former lead guitarist and vocalist for Trick Pony - remember them? After the pony had pulled their last trick, Heidi went solo (and has done very well for herself), and Keith joined up with singer Michelle Poe to form Burns and Poe. Their new single is called Don't Get No Better Than That. Enjoy!

Trick Pony's Video For On A Night Like This

If you're new to the world of country music, you may not know that before Heidi Newfield was burning up the charts like Johnny and June, she was the feisty lead singer for the country trio known as Trick Pony. Back in 2000, they released their self-titled debut album, and it produced three top twenty hits on the Billboard Hot Country charts. The biggest hit was On A Night Like This (iTunes MP3), which peaked at #4 on the country charts. Heidi remained with the band until October 2006 when she left to pursue her solo career.

Trick Pony carried on without Heidi briefly with a new lead singer, Aubrey Collins, but in October 2007, Aubrey left, and Trick Pony called it quits. Ira Dean (the flamboyant long-haired bass player) is still making hits though. He co-wrote Montgomery Gentry's One In Every Crowd. Enjoy!
