Sugarland came on after Pat, and they were incredible. I enjoyed them as much as Kenny. Jennifer Nettles sounded and looked awesome. Since they're from Atlanta, it was somewhat emotional for them with friends and family in the crowd, and they did an awesome job.
Kenny came onstage about 9:30, and didn't stop until almost midnight. The video below is footage of the opening of the show. I apologize in advance because it's kind of bumpy, but it was impossible to hold the camera still due to the people around me going absolutely nuts. He opened with Beer in Mexico, and pretty much sang every hit he's ever had.
Some highlights:
- Uncle Kracker came on stage about halfway through the show and they sang their monster hit When the Sun Goes Down. They also sang Uncle Kracker's hits Follow Me and Drift Away.
- During Kenny's song, Young, the Georgia Tech marching band came marching across the stage and stayed on stage for the duration of the song. While they were marching, Jennifer Nettles from Sugarland came onstage as the baton twirler. The Georgia Tech Glee club even came out for a song or two with Kenny.
- He also brought CNN Headline News anchor, Robin Meade, onto the stage for a couple of songs and at one point she played the cowbell.
- One of the big highlights was Eagles' legend Joe Walsh came out towards the end of the show and belted out Life's Been Good as well as a couple of other tunes. The crowd really loved this.
- At one point in the show, Kenny let his road crew come out and perform a couple of songs. They sang Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin) and the AC/DC song It's a Long Way to the Top (If You Wanna Rock 'n' Roll)
