On Tuesday, we asked for your best caption to accompany the picture below of Blake Shelton, Jamey Johnson and Miranda Lambert. And, the response was great. To see all the caption entries, go to this page on our site.
I polled my team, and the winning caption comes from Sherry Hendricks (@sherryhendricks on Twitter). Sherry's caption is now proudly displayed below the photo. Thank you Sherry! And, thanks to everyone who submitted a caption.
P.S. For those who didn't win, don't worry, we've got some great contests coming up every month. Here's a sneak peak at what we'll be giving away over the next few months: Autographed CD's from Reba McEntire, Jimmy Wayne, George Strait, Justin Moore, Cross Canadian Ragweed and Jack Ingram. To make sure you'll be entered in each contest, all you need to do is follow us on Twitter (@TodaysCountry), subscribe to our email newsletter and join our Facebook Fan Page. Be sure to join all three because we're going to be doing different contests for our Twitter followers, our blog readers and our Facebook fans. Thanks!
Jamey - Is that your HillBilly Bone I feel?
Blake - Aw naw you would no it if you felt it.
Miranda- LOL, That's his Hillbilly Bone alright.
How about a little fun this afternoon? Leave your best caption for this photo of Jamey, Blake and Miranda, and the best one, as chosen by our staff, wins either Jamey, Miranda or Blake's latest album (you choose which you want). Simple enough, huh?
To be considered for the prize, in addition to leaving your comment below, please send us an email with your caption comment so we can contact you if your caption is chosen as the winner. Now let's see the captions. We'll choose the winning caption on Friday morning, January 15, 2010. Thanks!
P.S. Let's keep it PG-13. Obscene comments won't be posted or considered. Thanks.
P.S.S. @BlakeShelton - If you'd like to send in the 'real' caption, we'd love to hear it! :)
I love this story. On this day back in 2000, Jamey Johnson moved to Nashville because if a Y2K glitch was going to upend society, he said, "If the world is going to hell, I'm going to Nashville to sing about it."
Jamey's written a lot of great hits, and his first big one was Honky Tonk Badonkadonk, which was recorded by Trace Adkins. Jamey's first big single was The Dollar, which was included on Jamey's 2005 album of the same name. If you haven't seen it, you can check out his video for The Dollar below.
