I love finding videos like this one. It's from my hometown of Dothan, Alabama back in 2007. It's Teddy Gentry of Alabama and Jamey Johnson simply sitting on stage with their guitars singing a great country song. Enjoy!
This is a great video. It's for Jamey Johnson's High Cost Of Living. The song was released as a single last year, and peaked at #34 on Billboard Hot Country charts, so the video's a little late coming out. No matter though. It's a great song and a great video. Enjoy!
Last Spring, Jamey Johnson put on a free concert right in the middle of Commerce Street in Nashville. One of my favorite songs from the concert was this one: Nothing Was Better Than You. According to CMT.com, here's what Jamey said when he introduced this song at a different concert earlier last year, "Here's how this is gonna work. We're gonna play you a new song, and if you hate it, don't say a f**king word." That's Jamey. Enjoy!
I love this story. On this day back in 2000, Jamey Johnson moved to Nashville because if a Y2K glitch was going to upend society, he said, "If the world is going to hell, I'm going to Nashville to sing about it."
Jamey's written a lot of great hits, and his first big one was Honky Tonk Badonkadonk, which was recorded by Trace Adkins. Jamey's first big single was The Dollar, which was included on Jamey's 2005 album of the same name. If you haven't seen it, you can check out his video for The Dollar below.
This is the best live version of Jamey Johnson's In Color I've ever seen. He's onstage as a guest of Keith Urban, and they do an unbelievably good job on this song. Enjoy!
This was the only performance from the 2009 ACM Awards earlier this year that I wasn't able to find until now. And, the quality of this video is excellent, and it's in HD. Jamey did a fantastic job and the B/W effect during his performance made it even better. Enjoy!
Most people know Jamey Johnson from the success he has achieved recently with his song In Color. However, Jamey released his major-label debut album The Dollar back in January 2006. The first single was the title track The Dollar (MP3), and it was a top twenty hit for Jamey. It peaked at #14 and solidified his reputation among industry insiders as one helluva good songwriter. Enjoy this version from CMT's Unplugged at Studio 330.
So many people were introduced to Jamey Johnson for the first time the other night during the 2009 ACM Awards, and whether you're a new or old Jamey Johnson fan, you're gonna love this version of Mowin' Down The Roses (iTunes MP3) from his That Lonesome Song album. Enjoy!
