Gretchen Wilson's New Video - Work Hard, Play Harder

For a lot of casual country music fans, the first thing they might think when seeing this video is where's Gretchen been? The truth though is she's been here all along, but because of a dispute with her old record label and a string of singles that failed to make it into the top 40 on the country charts, many might have thought she was taking a break. Nothing could be farther from the truth.

Gretchen's been doing exactly what she's singing about in this song. She's been working very hard (and she always plays harder). She just started her own record label called Redneck Records, and she plans to release her fourth album I Got Your Country Right Here sometime in 2010. Work Hard, Play Harder is the fourth single released from that upcoming album. I'd like to see Gretchen's songs residing in the top 40 again. Maybe this song will start the ball rolling. Enjoy!

Terri Clark Performing Gypsy Boots Live in Concert

I love Terri Clark. I've been a fan of hers since she released her first album back in 1995, and her debut single Better Things To Do is still one of my favorite songs. Terri's part of a rare breed of country singers who just continue to do it their way. Whether or not her songs are chart-toppers, she's still out there on the road playing live and doing what she loves. That's what I call success. Terri's got a new album that is supposed to come out sometime this year called The Long Way Home. This song, Gypsy Boots is supposed to be released as the first single. Here she is performing an acoustic version of the song live in concert. This is a rare glimpse of Terri without her cowboy hat on. Jo Dee Messina - My Give A Damn's Busted

The business of country music is a fickle business. Just three short years ago, Jo Dee hit #1 on the Billboard Hot Country charts with My Give A Damn's Busted, which was the first single released from her Delicious Surprise album. Now, her latest album, Unmistakable has been shelved for the second time and may not be released at all. From what I hear, the release of the album was completely dependent on the success of her single, I'm Done, which only managed to make it to #34 on the Hot Country charts. Considering Jo Dee has had six #1 singles in her career, it's a shame her record company is treating her this way. But, as this song states, Jo Dee probably doesn't give a damn anyway. Enjoy!

Gretchen's latest single released last year is called You Don't Have To Go Home. So far, it's only reached #53 on the Billboard Hot Country charts.
