Relive Carrie Underwood and Kellie Pickler's American Idol Auditions

With Shania as a guest judge tonight on American Idol, I thought I'd take a look back at the very first time we were introduced to two of country music's leading ladies. Enjoy this look back at the American Idol auditions for both Kellie Pickler and Carrie Underwood. Wow, how their lives have changed in a few short years. Can you believe that Carrie had never flown before American Idol and used to get up early and feed the cows? It's amazing how far these two have come since their first audition. Enjoy!

Bucky Covington's New Video For Gotta Be Somebody

Gotta Be Somebody is Bucky's second single from his latest album, I'm Alright. It's a Nickelback cover song, and it's a good one. I hope this one makes it back into the top 15 for Bucky. His first three singles all made it into the top 15 (A Different World #6, It's Good To Be Us #11 and I'll Walk #10), but his last single I Want My Life Back only peaked at #32. I think this one will definitely do better. Enjoy!

P.S. If you'd like to compare Bucky's version to Nickelback's, you can watch their version at TodaysRockVideos.com.

Watch The World Premiere of Carrie Underwood's Cowboy Casanova Music Video

Cowboy Casanova has a shot at becoming Carrie's second number one single on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. The only other single she had that topped the Hot 100 was her very first single Inside Your Heaven back in 2005. Cowboy Casanova is already at #11 on both the Hot 100 charts and the Billboard Hot Country charts. I have no doubt it'll top the country charts within the next couple of weeks. Enjoy the new video!

P.S. If you missed it, check out this video from last week of Carrie performing Cowboy Casanova life in concert.

Press Release - Bucky Covington Returns To Rockingham, NC To Give Back To His Hometown Community

Nashville, TN – After earning national recognition as a finalist on “American Idol” and firmly establishing himself as one of country music’s most genuine and exciting entertainers with three consecutive Top 10 hit singles and the best-selling country debut release of the 2007 class, Bucky Covington is returning to his roots for his first hometown concert in Rockingham, NC.

“When I was on American Idol the whole town pulled together – all of the business, churches - everyone. They all went above and beyond to help out and show me their support,” remembers Bucky. “Now it’s my time to give back.”

For Covington this homecoming is a way of giving back to the community that has supported him over the years, and to show his deep appreciation he will be hosting an unprecedented party in the city’s Harrington Square featuring a free concert on September 26, 2009 at 7:00pm.

In addition to the concert, Covington’s planned activities include taking part in the local BackPack Pals outreach program, which provides nutritional weekend meals and snacks to children whose primary source of food is the local school cafeteria. Concertgoers are encouraged to bring a canned good or other non-perishable food item to help support the community’s BackPack Pals program and Our Daily Bread Christian Food Ministry.

“One of the best places to play is at home,” says Bucky. “We’ve had the incredible privilege of playing shows in Europe, Alaska and all across the States, but there’s nothing like going home and performing. Every time you look out at the crowd, you see people you know. And to be able to help out BackPack Pals, which is such a great organization and worthy cause, tops off this homecoming.”

It's called Didn't You Know How Much I Loved You, and it's currently at #53 on the Billboard Hot Country charts.
